"The beginning of this gallery shows my most recent photography," writes Brooklyn photographer Brooke Jacobs. "I've been working on a personal project using geometric vintage wallpaper as a backdrop to photograph puppies (and kittens). The color and pattern of the wallpaper is a fun juxtaposition against the expressions of baby animals. This project has been one of my favorites, since there is nothing as endearing as working with and squeezing a puppy (or kitten)!"

With a howl, hoot, squeal -- and an endless supply of treats -- photographer Brooke Jacobs captures the emotions, humor, and expressive sensibilities of our fur-bearing friends. Having grown up with a mother who runs an animal shelter -- and a house full of dogs and cats (and iguanas and fish) -- it was only natural that Brooke would combine her two passions of photography and animals to capture the inner beauty and personality of all creatures, from massive to minuscule.
