Envelope Guest Book

Martha Stewart Weddings, 2003

Transform a store-bought album into a guest book that has a handmade feel. Use double-sided tape to affix envelopes in assorted sizes and colors to the pages of a plain-paper photo album or scrapbook. Leave cards and a pen on a table for guests to write wishes. When they're done, they can tuck their cards inside the envelopes for the bride and groom to enjoy later.

Elegantlyboundbooks.com can create a custom envelope guest book starting as low as $50. So many styles and colors to pick from.

I found my envelopes at paperpresentation.com. I used their business card size and their gift card size. Anything bigger was a bit much. You can get all different colors too! Hope that helps!

I love this idea! I found a 12 X 12 album at creativememories.com that did not have the protective sheets. Now I am trying to find the envelopes, does anyone know what size these are in the picture? some look pretty small, which I like because I want to be able to fit plenty on the pages. thanks

GloucesterBride I'm just going to tape mine to the plastic paper on top because there really is no other way. I stamped white envelopes with copper and gold leaves and then put them on burgundy, burnt orange and brown paper because those are my colors! It came out really cute!

I would go to a nice bookstore and buy and unlined journal for this.

The only albums that I have found have the plastic protective covers over the pages so I am not exactly sure where I would affix the envelopes...thoughts?

any recommendations on how big of an album to buy? I know it would totally depend on the size of your wedding...but just curious what everyone else did?

I know I have seen on other examples that the bride and groom just made a big envelope on the last page and wrote on it saying that if there were not any more envelopes to put their message in that envelope and they would finish the guest book later.

Also, did you put envelopes on the fronts and backs of each page or just one side?

We are doing a photo album book and didn't know how to have people write on the pages, but not have the ink run onto the pictures - this is my solution and SO original!!
