Paper-Plate Update

Give some sweet charm to your ho-hum disposable dishes by adding a lacy border.
Martha Stewart Living, May 2007

Give some sweet charm to your ho-hum disposable dishes by adding a lacy border. First, cut around the circumference of a plate with scallop scissors. Then use a variety of punches to make a pattern. (No need to measure -- just fire away!) If you like, slip a colored plate underneath a white one (or try the reverse) to highlight the design.

Great idea for adding elegance to paper plates! They would go really well with these paper doily daffodils I made!

To pippa33 use the really thin plates not ones like chinet (sp?)
We do things like this all the time with our Beavers and Cubs for special dinners (arn't they all special with young ones involved?)

I tried to make these, but none of the [filtered word] punches I used would punch through the plates. I tried really heavy duty ones and used the martha ones, they were terrible!! Great idea tho!! I just use a doily and stuck it onto a colored plate.
