Make a favorite notebook or journal an organized repository for papers, business cards, and receipts by giving it a built-in pocket. Fold back the flap of a colorful envelope (such as one from a greeting card), and moisten the glue strip with water. Position it on the inside of the notebook's cover, and press to attach. Secure the envelope's bottom corners with double-sided tape.

great idea with the envelopes in notebooks, I've been doing this inside file folders for years. Thanks for the added idea.
When we redid our kitchen, I put all of the appliance manuals, cabinet care, and counter surface care info in a notebook of folders carefully labelled. Same concept as your's but I just purchased the envelope notebook at a nominal cost.
This is in the top ten of organizational tips regarding the organization of papers. Secretaries have been doing this for years. Office supply stores actually sell peel and stick clear pockets just for this purpose. You can line them with colored paper to make them more attractive than they are, and even laser print the paper with the contents of the envelope. Hope this helps. .
This is definitely one of those "Why didn't I think of that" ideas! I've been looking for ideas to reuse great colored envelopes I receive with cards. Thanks!
i often use this idea when giving a journal as a gift. i stick an envelope inside the front cover then insert a hand written note, an inspiring quote or something suitable to the recepient. sometimes, i'll leave the flap and seal it with a sticker or envelope seal...
for the too tall items I was thinking of a ribbon attatched farther up the cover to slip them under. for the fridge: buy sticky magnet sheets and just stick the envelope to it!
This is one of those "why didn't I think of that?!" Fabulous idea!
This could also be turned into a cute refrigerator mini-bulletin board.
Use the envelopes for bills, receipts, tickets, and coupons. Put it on a light magnet backed board for the side or front of the fridge. Could also be a bulletin board for laundry room, etc.
Great idea. I've been doing this for years, especially in my day-planner. However, a hint here: When items are as long or taller than the depth of the envelope, they tend to flop over or fall out. I came up with the idea of putting a second same-sized envelope upside down touching the bottom one(with flap under as above). It keeps those taller notes and pages in place. Enjoy!
