1. Glitter Candlesticks

    Hide

Make plain candlesticks sparkle with a coat of shimmery glitter. Buy inexpensive wooden candlesticks, or use a weathered pair you already own. Working in sections, brush craft glue onto the candlesticks, and dust with fine glitter (shake off excess). Let glue dry overnight. With a paintbrush, apply a thin layer of clear shellac over glitter, and let dry.

  3. Artistry and Old Lace

    Hide

This Easter, take hard-boiled eggs to new heights by embellishing them with lacy patterns. All you need to make them is standard egg dye, rubber bands, and inexpensive lace trimmings from a fabric store. (You can also use scraps cut from a worn tablecloth or curtains.) Once the eggs are dyed and dry, pile them in a large bowl and use them as a centerpiece.

  4. Creepy Candles

    Hide

Cast a sinister glow over any setting with a cluster of white tapers dripping with "blood" (actually red candle wax). Fill a cup or a small pail with sand, and plant white candles inside so they stand upright. Light a red candle and tip it over the white candles so the wax drips down the tops and sides, being careful not to burn yourself. Let wax cool completely before removing candles from sand.

  5. Shamrock Stirrers

    Hide

Rinse the pink ink from a heart-shaped rubber stamp, and use it (and a green ink pad) to add shamrocks to napkins, coasters, and more. To make a swizzle stick, stamp a clover pattern onto card stock, and draw a stem with a colored pencil; repeat. Cut out with a 1-inch circle craft punch. Glue circles together, back sides facing, onto a skewer.
