Floating Flowers Platter Centerpiece

Martha Stewart Living, July 2009

It's a cheese board; it's a centerpiece; it's a place to corral cocktail garnishes. It's a basic white platter (this one's from cb2.com), the most versatile item in your cupboard.

Float flowers like these peonies in small bowls, and arrange them with votive candles for a quick, modern centerpiece. On a long table, you can place a few platters down the middle.

this idea is really pretty, but i fail to see how this is a craft, and not just an idea to buy a few things.

Cynthia- if you have access to a HomeGoods, I'm sure you could find some options for the bowls. Or try a TJMaxx-- you never know what you'll find...

Natrivinos- I think the Large cuatro platter, 16.75"Wx10"D, from CB2 would work wonderfully and serve as a great multitasker. I love their cuatro platter set- I could create a collection of the serving pieces pretty quickly...

    Hope this is helpful!

Does anyone know where to find the small, white lotus bowls the flowers are floating in? I used to find them at Pier 1, but cannot now.
