Set your table with napkin rings as unique as your guests. For each ring, fold a 6-inch length of fabric ribbon in half, right sides facing, and sew ends together with a 1/4-inch seam allowance. Turn the rings right side out, and slip them around rolled napkins.

I love the idea for use of ribbon, it is such a clean and fresh look on the white linens. For those who prefer not to sew, I would fold in each end about a half inch, dot with tacky glue under the fold to prevent unraveling. then add velcro with adhesive to each end (you would need to make sure you place the velcro on outside of one end and underside of the other). This would seem to make them easier to put on and to remove.
Knew something practical could be done with that last yard of ribbon on the roll ~
just had to wait for the right idea to come along.
Thanks
THIS WORKS GOOD AND IS REAL CUTE!!!
