Gourds by Number

For a functional entryway decoration, emblazon a gourd with your house number.

  • Large dried gourd, available from florists
  • Masking tape
  • Wood-burning tool with a needle tip

  1. Step 1

Print the number in any font and size. Cut out, and tape to a large dried gourd (available from florists).

  2. Step 2

Fit a wood-burning tool with a needle tip, and pierce evenly spaced holes into the gourd's skin, outlining the digits.

  3. Step 3

Add other decorative touches around the number with pencil; pierce again.
