Project

Pet Masquerade

Dress up your guests as Fido or Fifi with these easy-to-make masks.

Materials

  • Digital image
  • Printer
  • Scissors
  • Spray adhesive
  • Utility knife
  • Thin dowel
  • Paint and paintbrush
  • Hot glue
  • Cardboard

Steps

  1. Step 1

Create a color photocopy of your favorite photo of your dog or cat, enlarging it as needed. Or, for a more human touch, copy photos of friends and family members.

  2. Step 2

Cut out the face; mount it onto cardboard with spray adhesive. Cut around the face with a utility knife.

  3. Step 3

Paint a thin dowel in a color of your choice; when the paint dries, hot-glue the dowel to the back of the mask using a narrow strip of cardboard.

  4. Step 4

Anchor the dowels of several masks in a basket of wrapped candies, and keep it by the front door; guests can take one as they enter.
