Celebrate spring by bringing some greenery indoors. Embellishing pillar candles with blades of grass highlights a plant that's rarely appreciated up close -- and unifies an assortment of candles. Place the candles on pastel saucers that set off the green grass blades, and display them on a shelf or mantel.
To make grass candles, you'll need light-colored pillars, a nonflammable all-purpose glue stick, and blades of grass (we used wheat grass sprouted from seed). Apply adhesive to a single blade, and affix to candle, folding the bottom of the blade underneath. Repeat process, varying lengths and spacing to mimic natural growth and create a pleasing pattern.
