Martha Stewart Baby, 2001
No matter how careful you are, baby's bath usually means a bath for you, too. This easy-to-make bath apron gives you a layer of protection -- and your baby a comfortable place to dry off.
Machine-sew two pieces of twill tape to the short side of a towel, spaced so that they'll encircle your neck comfortably, about 6 inches apart. Hold the apron up to your chest; tie the tape around your neck. Cut off any extra tape; machine-sew to finish off ends.

That's a great idea, bnook1. and why not!! thanks for this tip.
Wasn't sure what size towel was used. I bought a bath sheet size and found it way too long. Didn't want to cut it, so added waist ties and the another set of ties about 12" lower than waist. Brought second set up to waist and tied so now great length . Just untie second set when ready for wet baby as pictured above.
