Mouse Motel

Introduction

Rooms go fast in these cozy, critter-filled pumpkins, which offer a shudder-inspiring alternative to traditional carving motifs.

Materials

  • Marker
  • Keyhole saw
  • Rubber mice

Steps

  1. Step 1

    Using a marker, draw a circle for each hole.

  2. Step 2

    Cut out holes with a keyhole saw; shave edges smooth with a scraper if desired (no interior scraping is required).

  3. Step 3

    Fill holes with rubber mice (available at Halloween stores).

  4. Step 4

    Listen for screaming neighbors.

    I made this with a funkin so that I could use it year after year. It was easy to make and everyone old and young alike thought it was great.
