These blooming shapes add a shot of color to your tabletop. To make a set, you'll need a roll of thin cork and sheets of felt.
Iron both on a low setting to flatten. Attach cork to the felt with a thin layer of white glue. Let dry for about 1 hour.
Photocopy our template, enlarging as desired; our coasters are about 5 inches across. Trace template onto felt with a disappearing-ink pen. Cut out with scissors.

I love these coasters. They're easy and inexpensive to make, but look great. I made mine a little different though. I just cut squares of felt, and stitched a few lines on each with my sewing machine (it ended up looking like stripes). I glued each square to the felt and cut them out.
look for the cork at your local craft store.
OMGOODNESS!! HOW SIMPLE AND FUN!! THESE WILL COME SOOOOO HANDY! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! btw where do I find the thin cork sheets? THANKS AGAIN FOR A WONDERFUL CRAFT!!!
What a simple and divine craft, and classy too. I will use my Big Shot cutting machine to die cut six felt stars and then hearts, at a time. it also cuts cork, so this will be a very easy craft for me to do. Thanks Martha for another delightful craft idea! I am at our forest Sierra land retreat and am going to try this craft now. This is where I get inspiration, thanks to YOU!
So easy and so much fun! I used several different colors of felt, I even used leopard print! I can't wait to give them to my friends.
I used beautiful fabric on one side and felt on the other, when not in use I put the fabric side up, they are so pretty. I used fabric glue aroung the edges to seal the fabric.
