Butter is a taste and a sight to savor when it takes the shapes of leaves, acorns, and other fall ephemera. Using an offset spatula, spread room-temperature butter into a baking sheet until an inch thick. Freeze for an hour, then use cookie cutters to cut out shapes. Arrange on a plate and serve immediately, or cover in plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to a week.
