Babies make memories of dining out feel like long-lost dreams. But with a bit of planning, the family can enjoy a pleasant meal out. Put together a little kit to occupy your child. If she's eating solids, include simple snacks, such as cereal, to tide her over between nibbles from your plate. Add a few toys to alleviate boredom. These diversions will be more effective if they seem special, so pack the toys away after the meal, and only bring them out again the next time you visit a restaurant.
