Twine Dispenser

Carry garden twine easily, without any danger of its rolling away and unraveling.
Martha Stewart Living, March 2002

Carry garden twine easily, without any danger of its rolling away and unraveling. Buy a clean paint can, slightly larger than your roll of string, at a home-supply store. Make a hole in the center of the lid with a 1/4-inch drill bit. Place the twine inside, and thread the end through the hole; close the lid.

Love the coffee can idea! I took a wire hanger, cut it, slid the bolt of twine on the bar, re-shaped it, and hung it in my potting shed - another recycling idea.

I made this for my husband for fathers day...He added a magnet inside the can and stuck his scissors on the outside of the can...It made a great idea even better!!!

In keeping with the RECYCLE/REUSE/REDUCE campaign, I use coffee cans in different sizes with lids for the same purpose. I keep one in the potting shed, garage, and with my wrapping papers.
