Twine Dispenser

Carry garden twine easily, without any danger of its rolling away and unraveling.

  • Twine
  • Clean paint can
  • Drill with 1/4 inch drill bit

  1. Step 1

Buy a clean paint can, slightly larger than your roll of string, at a home-supply store.

  2. Step 2

Make a hole in the center of the lid with a 1/4-inch drill bit.

  3. Step 3

Place the twine inside, and thread the end through the hole; close the lid.

Love the coffee can idea! I took a wire hanger, cut it, slid the bolt of twine on the bar, re-shaped it, and hung it in my potting shed - another recycling idea.

I made this for my husband for fathers day...He added a magnet inside the can and stuck his scissors on the outside of the can...It made a great idea even better!!!

In keeping with the RECYCLE/REUSE/REDUCE campaign, I use coffee cans in different sizes with lids for the same purpose. I keep one in the potting shed, garage, and with my wrapping papers.
