Using a funnel, fill a small glass bottle a little less than halfway with sand. Roll up a small sheet of paper tightly, securing with a few strips of double-sided tape placed parallel to rolling direction. Write a guest's name on scroll. Using tweezers, place on sand in bottle; insert cork.

I suggest using salt and pepper (or sugar and cinnamon for desserts) instead of sand, just in case anyone opens the bottle and spills the contents around the food.
