Materials

  • One 20-inch cloth napkin
  • 12- or 14-inch square pillow
  • Sewing kit
  • Button
  • Cord

Steps

  1. Step 1 of 3

Lay a 20-inch square cloth napkin face down, positioning it to resemble a diamond. Center a 12- or 14-inch square pillow form on napkin.

  2. Step 2 of 3

Fold in 2 side points of napkin to middle, then fold up bottom point. Hand-stitch through all 3 pieces of fabric along upside-down V, about 2 inches down on each side. Stitch a button to bottom flap near point.

  3. Step 3 of 3

These are adorable! And I am super excited about making these since I am a beginner when it comes to sewing. Can't wait to get started and since its raining pretty bad, I think I'll start now!

This idea can also be combined with the Denim Pillows idea. Use the cloth from old denim jeans or shirts to create a napkin folded style pillow and use the jeans/shirt button on it. Would be great for girls/teenager's room :)

I wonder if there are pillow forms that are waterproof. My guess is that these wouldn't hold up well to getting wet. I'd have to run outside everytime it threatened to rain. Hmm
