Circle of Friends

Guests will go dotty for confetti decorated with their own smiling faces.

  • Matte photo paper
  • Scissors
  • Colored paper
  • Vellum
  • Envelopes

  1. Step 1

Use a photo-editing program to give digital pictures of family and friends a sepia tint; print onto matte photo paper.

  2. Step 2

Use 1/2-inch to 1-inch circle punches to cut out faces, as well as extra circles from colored paper and vellum. Package the confetti in envelopes, and hand them out to guests for a celebratory toss at midnight.

I'd like to know how to get the photos small enough to fit on confetti.

I used this idea New Years Eve 2007 at a party for Senior Citizens. I cut circles, stars, etc. out of neon bright cardstock to scatter as confetti on bright colored tablecloths then sprinkled on the faces. Imagine the smiles and laughter as they discovered themselves as part of the decorations. I think this would also be great for School Reunions as well as children's parties!

We used this last July for my Grandfather's 80th Birthday. Everyone had such a great time looking over 80 years of photos. Some people even took the pictures home for an added take-away gift.

I have used this coffetti for several different events, 50th birthday, 50th anniversary. Lots of fun.

This would be great for the reception tables at a wedding! I am going to suggest it for a friend of mine that's getting married in April.

I love this idea. I think it could be fun for surprise parties with pictures of the guest of honor's photos as they grew up. Good for birthdays and grads.
