Project

DIY All-Purpose Cleaners

Materials

  • Water (or a solution of 2 tablespoons mild dishwashing liquid with 2 cups water)

Steps

  1. Step 1

Sanitize countertops with white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide; spray the surface with one, then the other, and wipe (keep them in separate, well-marked bottles and do not dilute).

  2. Step 2

For a gentle scrub to use on countertops, sinks, and faucets, make a paste with warm water and baking soda; or boost cleaning power by using dishwashing liquid instead of the water.

Lemon oil can be found at craft stores, in candle areas of larger stores and even grocery stores. I buy it at the Wegmans supermarket chain in Rochester NY in their Natures Marketplace section - there are dozens of different essential oils. I discover a new one each time I shop.

Where do you buy lemon oil?

Lemon oil will remove soap scum and hard water stains from glass shower doors. Just rub on a tiny bit with a cloth, then rinse.

Suggest you use a non-abrasive scrub to get them off
