Lily Pond in a Vase

Lily Pond in a Vase

Source: Martha Stewart Living, August 2009

Introduction

Use water lilies to make an indoor "pond" arrangement, substituting galax leaves for the much larger lily foliage.

materials

  • Floral frogs

  • Cylindrical vases

  • Floral shears

  • Water lilies and galax leaves (special order both from a florist)

  • River stones

steps

  1. Place floral frogs in vases. Cut stems of water lilies and galax leaves to desired heights. Insert one or more of each into frog.

  2. Cover frogs with stones, and fill vases with enough water to partially cover the leaves but not the blossoms.
