Paper Ribbons

If you don't have ribbon on hand, a package doesn't have to go without a bow.

  1. Step 1

Cut a strip of paper to the desired width and long enough to wrap around the gift, plus 6 inches. With a pencil, mark where the ends overlap.

  2. Step 2

Cut a slit in each side at the pencil mark with scissors. Wrap the strip around the package and slide slits together. Notch the ends.

  3. Step 3

For multiple layers, mark, cut, and then fasten several pieces at once, trimming the ends to varying lengths.
