With a touch of color, inexpensive utility lamps can brighten your room. They can be purchased at a hardware store, as components or as a unit; an attached giant clamp allows you to position the lamp where you want it. Rub hood with fine steel wool; with a soft nylon brush, paint exterior with enamel, leaving bottom rim unpainted. Mix enamels with white to lighten any color.
