Blade Buffer

Martha Stewart Living, April 2007

A sponge can be downright dangerous if you use it to really scrub a crusty pair of shears or a knife. To clean sharp edges without cutting yourself, squeeze lemon juice over the blade (white vinegar works, too). Then sprinkle with coarse salt, and rub with a cork. Rinse with water, and wipe dry to prevent rusting.
