Crocheted Baby Booties

Source: Martha Stewart Baby, Winter 2001

Introduction

Making something by hand for an arriving baby is a thoughtful gesture on the part of a friend or relative -- and it's also a nice way for an expectant mom to pass time toward the end of her pregnancy. These adorable ruby-red booties are an excellent project for an experienced crocheter.

materials

  • Crochet hook US size D3 (3.25 mm)

  • 50 grams red fingering-weight wool yarn

  • Yarn needle

  • Two white shirt buttons

  • Red or white sewing thread

steps

  1. Download our crocheted booties instruction card; fold the card crosswise, then crosswise again, so it resembles a pamphlet.
