How to Compute the Size of a Dish

Martha Stewart Living, April 2002

Certain cooking items are underutilized until you find out how simple it is to tap their potential. For example, you are likelier to use a fluted mold when you know how many cups it holds. Simply fill irregularly shaped molds with water, and then pour the water into a liquid measuring cup. Write down the cup measurement on an index card for future reference.
