Give your overnight guests the five-star treatment by setting chilled spring water on their nightstand. Choose a vessel, such as a vase or a large julep cup, that is deep enough to accommodate a small bottle and ice. Place a saucer underneath to collect the condensation and protect the surface of the table.

I stayed at a home recently where the hostess provided a beautiful crystal pitcher of iced water with an antique lace cover for the top. It was so gorgeous! I would rather do that than a plastic water bottle. Plastic contains numerous chemicals that leach into the water, including BPA, which mimics estrogen. They are also very harmful to the environment. However, I think providing a crystal pitcher or other beautiful container is a great idea.
