Prized Seedling Packages
The most generous present you can give a fellow gardener is one of your prized plants.

Pinking or scallop shears
Pot extra seedlings, and package in waxed paper bags (to keep moisture from seeping through)
cut the top of the bags with pinking or scallop shears. Fold tops down once, and punch two holes in each about an inch apart.
Write the plant name on a two-prong metal garden stake, and slide its legs inside each bag through the holes and into the pot, taking care to avoid the plant. Tie on a ribbon and a tag with the recipient's name. Deliver gifts in garden flats the same day they are assembled.
