Project

Practical Endpapers

Make a cookbook even more helpful with the addition of a bookmark, a pencil holder, and an envelope to collect notes and recipes.

Materials

  • White craft glue
  • 1 1/2-inch-wide grosgrain ribbon
  • Narrow ribbon
  • Envelope
  • Scissors

Steps

  1. Step 1

For the pencil holder, use white craft glue to attach 1 1/2-inch-wide grosgrain ribbon horizontally across the middle of the book's inside back cover. Then place a pencil on top of the ribbon, and glue the ribbon back onto itself, creating a loop.

  2. Step 2

Next, glue a portion of a narrow ribbon along the spine edge of the inside back cover, leaving enough hanging free to tuck between pages and dangle out the bottom.

  3. Step 3

Finally, glue an envelope slightly smaller than the back endpaper over both ribbons.

to zoom, like heather416 said, you can also press ctrl or - and it'll do the same thing. just a tip. :)

Great idea! And the reason you can't enlarge it is because it's from May, 2002, as shown by the tag line on the bottom of the box. There's no way they can store full size backups of everything so handily as to use for daily newlsetter tips. It takes up an enormous amount of memory to store graphics like that. I'm just thrilled these "oldies but goodies' still pop up for us to use!

To enlarge the picture, go to your toolbar, click on PAGE, then ZOOM, and enlarge from 100% to whatever percentage works for you.

it took a while to figure out what's going on in the pictures, but i get it now. i've seen the envelope in the back in some of the pricier photo albums, but never thought of doing it in my own books. great idea!
