Cherry-Blossom Place Cards

Introduction

A cherry-blossom branch fashioned into a place card greets your dinner guests with a sweet sign of spring.

Materials

  • Cherry-blossom branch
  • Pale-green grosgrain ribbon
  • Double-sided tape
  • Floral frog

Steps

  1. Step 1

    Press the stem into a small floral frog, about the diameter of a quarter. Wrap a piece of pale-green grosgrain ribbon around the base, and secure with double-sided tape. Cut a leaf from a similar shade of vellum, write the invitees name, and attach to the side of the branch using a hot-glue gun.

    I love entertaining in the Spring, the warm sun is shineing and the birds are singing, I think this is the perfect piece for name cards. I also think people enjoy looking for their name, it makes them feel special.

    I was looking for something interesting and spring-like for a table. This is fantastic. I will use my flowereing crab blossoms instead. Cherry blossoms are not available in Minnesota. LOL.
