I have a peg board in the pantry to hang cooking utensils, strainers, measuring cups, anything with a [filtered word] in the handle. It is great!

how do you hang the pegboard so it holds that much weight?

This also works to keep those flashlights ready and available in a central location.

I think I'd go for metal (magnetic) pegboard ~ it is sturdier, and I'd be able to stick my magnetic spice containers somewhere other than the fridge door. Neat idea!

This also works in my sewing room for those things that are hard to hang and my walls are covered with peg board already!

I agree not very good for the kitchen. Here in Washington the weather is so mild and sometimes just downright cold I store all my fruits and veggies that don't need to be in the fridge in the garage. Not only is the temperature cooler but for me it's the darkest place to store these things since I don't have a basement. This adds to the life of my produce. These baskets worked great and look fun.

I love the idea too, and i found it can do so much with the idea even to use it somewhere else in the house with some little change.

I love this idea! I have a laundry room right off the kitchen and need to have space to store the brooms, dustpans, apples, potatoes, onions and BBQ tools. Peg board is very inexpensive and you can paint it to match the decor!!

I too love all of your comments! I am in Ca and the only time I have seen the lovely fishing baskets is when I visited the east coast. Although I love the look, I would never put baskets or peg board in the kitchen. The surface's are too rough and hard to clean

How do you hang the baskets in the kitchen so that they won't tip? Great idea in the garage with peg board although I wouldn't use peg board n the kitchen.

When you're looking for baskets, don't forget to check out a few second-hand stores and yard sales. One of my best resources for craft supplies...

I have used this idea for years in my bathroom...pretty baskets with handles and flat backs hold my brushes, hair bands and hair clips within reach when I'm getting ready in the morning!

I have found the children's bicycle basket at Magic Cabin. The fisherman's basket can be found at any sporting goods shop. I never thought about attaching to the wall but I love it, I am thinking about the utility room where everyting piles at the back door - sunscreen, baseball gloves, balls, etc.

Where can I find these baskets? I cut this page out of an old magazine but did not save he "Resouces" page. These are perfect for the space I have.

I do like this idea. It works also at childrenn n n n s room.
