Project

Graveyard Place Cards

Show dinner guests to their seats with cemetery-themed place cards that double as treat holders.

Materials

  • Plain paper bags
  • Fence edge punch
  • Scissors
  • Grey card stock
  • Letter stamps
  • Ink pad
  • Candy

Steps

  1. Step 1

Start with plain paper bags. Fold the gusset downward and cut off the top of the bag, about 2 1/4 inches from the bottom; be careful not to cut through the bottom of the bag.

  2. Step 2

Punch a decorative edge using a fence edge punch.

  3. Step 3

Cut "gravestones" freehand from card stock (or use punched circle as a guide to trace rounded edges), and stamp with names.

  4. Step 4

Unfold bags, fill with candy, and insert gravestones.
