Project

Baby Face Thumbtacks

Can't get enough of your baby's face? Use photographs of your child to decorate everyday items like these adorable thumbtacks.

Materials

  • Several different pictures of your baby
  • Lightweight cardboard (or bristol board)
  • Glue stick
  • Superglue
  • Corrugated cardboard
  • Thumbtacks

Steps

  1. Step 1

Print the images onto glossy photo paper.

  2. Step 2

Work in small batches: Cut out a grouping of faces and use the glue stick to adhere them to a piece of lightweight cardboard for firmness. Cut around the faces with scissors or a utility knife.

  3. Step 3

Push tacks into the corrugated cardboard to hold them steady while you attach the photos. Put a drop of superglue on the head of the tack, and press cutout firmly in place. (If you're giving the tacks as gifts, present them on the cardboard.)
