Whirrr! These cool, healthy drinks that kids can make are almost as sweet as summer vacation. Fabulous garnishes make them even more irresistible.
Parents should cut up the fruit first; kids can run the blender with adult supervision. (Make sure they keep their fingers well away from the machine's blades.)
The technique is simple and similar for all blender drinks: Put ripe fruit, juice, honey or sugar, and ice into the pitcher of a blender and blend for 15 seconds on high speed. (Always put the top on the container before processing.) Stop machine, and stir ingredients with a long wooden spoon. Blend for 15 seconds more on high speed.
