Bandanna Table Runner

Rugged and practical, bandannas seem almost patriotic, so this table runner is fitting for the Fourth of July. Because the edges of the bandanas are already finished, this easy sewing project requires no hemming.

Great idea for summertime/4th of July festivities. Unfortunately, I am married to a "Union Man" who still carries a handkerchief everyday, and doing so I am never able to find one "Made in America" and I look wherever I come across them. Said state of Patriotism!!!

Being a quilter, I like to layer. I am going to make 2, one in red and one in dark blue. Then I'll lay them together and sew the edges down double row (like you do with jeans) and have a reversible table runner. I think it will give it some body also.

Okay...so I have already made several of these runners. I will keep two and take the others to work. We will then have a very festive, and inexpensive, way to decorate for summertime lunches!

Simple but adds a great splash of color and festivity to ordinary table.

What about alternating red, blue and white bandanas, since we're being patriotic? Or just blue and red? How simple this is!
