Choose numerous varieties of a single flower type, such as carnations, which are the traditional Mother's Day flower.
Arrange flowers lying down on table.
Remove foliage below the water line.
Make a fresh cut at an angle.
Fill vase with tepid water and add flower food.
Every four days, recut stems and change water.
