Keeping His Head

Martha Stewart Living, October 2006

A forlorn soul gazes at the shell of his former self. He'll search for his lost noggin later and keep the jack-o'-lantern for appearance's sake. This photo consists of two shots, one made partially transparent and then layered onto the other. The pumpkin is the foam kind, easy to carve and long lasting. You could also place a photograph of a pumpkin on the shoulders of your subject.

If you have the old Microsoft PictureIt! program, it is very easy to do! Just take one picture and then take the second and over lap the second pic onto the first. Then, in the side menu, use the transparencey button to make it as transparent as you would like! It is rather simple to do! Have fun and come up with your own unique "Ghost"!

There aren't any instructions regarding how to actually do this, so this is actually pretty useless.
