Laundry is probably one of the last things you want to think about when you're far from home. But spills and stains cannot be left behind. You're better off being prepared, because the key to successful stain removal is to act immediately. Hotel laundry services are very expensive, and stains can set if you wait until you get home to remove them. Martha always packs a handy, lightweight travel-laundry kit.
Here's what it contains:
- Clear detergent
- Woolite for delicates
- Stain stick
- Carbona stain roller
- Stain wipes
- Lint roller
- Portable clothesline
- Oil solvent for greasy stains and nonwashables (choose one that's nonaerosol for air travel)
- Mesh bag
- Drain cover
- Sewing kit

Wow! My husband travels for work, so I'm going to make a travel laundry kit for him! Thanks, Martha!
Such a great idea - I just put mine together. Also useful: travel-size Febreze (at Target), in case you get smoke smell on your clothes, and Hollywood Fashion Tape (strong doublesided tape for emergency hems, taping bra straps to dress straps, etc.).
Club soda takes out lots of stains. You can get a small amount at the bar in the hotel. I have found that some restaurants/bars are used to people asking for it. Make sur eyou also use a white cloth napkin.
And They work great!
portable clotheslines can be purchased at walmart, target, bed bath and beyond!
What is a carbona stain roller? Where might I look for one???
Where do I locate a portable clothesline???
