Where Does It Come From?
One reason that Cabernet Sauvignon is so popular is that the grape has been grown successfully in so many places, such as France, California, Chile, South Africa, and Argentina.

How Does It Taste?
Cabernet Sauvignon has a distinctive oaky flavor with touches of fruit: You might taste blackberry, plum, and black cherry. Even the scent is delicious.

What Food Does It Go With?
Though it's rich enough to drink with roasted or grilled red meats (lamb, for example), venison, and duck and goose, Cabernet Sauvignon also pairs well with roasted turkey and chicken.

How Much Does It Cost?
It's easy to spend a lot of money on a bottle of Cabernet but not necessary: There are good choices in the $10 to $15 range.
