Web Exclusive: Critter Cards

Send a special greeting with this cute critter card, an online-only craft from "The Martha Stewart Show."

Materials

Steps

  1. Step 1

Print the heart template and the critter diagrams.

  2. Step 2

Following the diagram for the critter you would like to make, cut card stock hearts in the sizes from the numbered template that correspond to the numbers on the critter. Most hearts will need to be cut in half.

  3. Step 3

Punch small hearts with a craft punch, and eyes with a screw punch.

  4. Step 4

Arrange the pieces as shown in the diagram and glue together with a glue stick or glue pen.

  5. Step 5

Adhere critters to premade cards with foam dots, as shown in the photo, or create your own design. Add more heart shapes and punched hearts to the cards if desired.

Since our neighbors are great fishermen/woman, we decided to make the fish card for them. We may be old, but we can still have fun making cards for neighbors, friends and relatives. HAPPY VALENTINE DAY TO ALL

Hello, what a wonderful craft idea to do with the kids. I am not a mother but love spending quality time with my 5 year old nephew. I was looking for something to do with him so that he can take cards to school for his class mates and saw this while looking for the valentine treat box template that I will be making to give to my family members filled with candy. I have always valued home made rather than bought gifts
