Are these slippers WASHABLE?? My experience with felt is that it is not washable, and I would certainly want to wash them occasionally. Please, someone, help with this question!

You can sew a non-slip bottom out of shelf liner as well.

Actually my Lexmark would not give me the entire page enlarged but I only got partials in larger print.I suggest printing a copy then cutting it out and taping one piece in the center of the paper then try copying again at 225% for what looks like about a 4-5 year old child. I am going to trace my foot in a sock and see if I cant adapt the pattern to that then go from there for sizing. Seems like taping one piece in the center of a paper then copying it in the higher percentage should work.

To make them non-slip, look in sewing notions, or do a search for slipper soles. Hancock Fabrics carries Slipper Grippers that can be cut out. They also have serveral different suede slipper soles in sizes. http://www.hancockfabrics.com/search.htm?numHits=24

If someone could impart their wisdom I would be extremely grateful! I have printed out the template on a regular printer and from there when to the copy machine, set the resolution % to the desired size...and when the copy comes out it is only HALF of the slipper template. Is there a way for me to tell the copy machine to print each slipper on multiple pages so I can get the whole template?
    Thank you!

I bet you could also add some cabinet lining to the bottom and make them non-slip but...I love the colored glue idea also! I'm going to take some regular socks add some non-slip stuff and sew felt embellishments on them for a quick craft!

i agree with the previous posters who said to enlarge the template by about 2 or 3 sizes to get a good fit.

Yeah, make sure you enlarge the template to a size 2 or three larger than your real show size, mine came out too small. They were great though, so I gave them to a friend...it's a fun and pretty project!

    JennGreen-

Go to the Dec. 2004 red felt slippers how-to page, and download the template. It has a shoe size to enlargement percentage conversion table on it along with the shoe template. Good luck.

To make the slippers non-slip you could purchase colored glue and apply to bottom in whatever shapes you'd like. I used to do this my son's socks when he was younger. You may have to reapply before you wear out the slippers due to wear and tear.

To open the butterfly template, I opened the page for the branch slippers and typed over the word branch and over the 6 type 7. Worked for me

I love these! Just to let everybody know achildsdream.com has the felt to make these. They have awesome customer service, I get all of my felt from them, and they have really fast shipping. Can't wait till the template is up so that I can make some of these for Christmas gifts!
