Use votive holders of any size, provided they are perfectly cylindrical.

1. Measure height and circumference of a votive holder. Cut a strip of striped lightweight cotton shirting to size, adding 1/2 inch to circumference.

2. Fold under 1/4 inch on 1 short end of strip, and press flat with an iron. Affix clear adhesive tape along top and bottom edges of wrong side of fabric. Roll fabric around holder, aligning edges, and secure ends with double-sided tape.
