Put Reminders by the Door

Eliminate stray notes and pieces of paper by writing important to-do tasks on an erasable board near the door. Adding a painted wooden picture frame upgrades the standard message board; below it, a "hot box" -- a mesh bin set off by a colorful painted square -- helps you remember cameras, cell phones, and any other small equipment you may need to take with you.

We used to put notes on the fridge or post its on the door, but foget to look at the fridge in the morning and our pets made a game out of removing the notes on the door.
Now, we use a dry erase marker on the mirror where our keys and stuff hang. Almost everyone checks their face in the mirror before going out the door!

I have Windows 7, and under gadgets, there are virtual sticky notes you can attach to your computer desktop.

We keep a magnetic clipboard with "To Do" papers on it attached the fridge. I also purchased from our local dollar store - door hangers with removal pages marked "Don't Forget..." I have this pad from the upper cabinet handle, which is directly above the keybowl in the kitchen. We can rip off the list as we head out. We also placed little pretty baskets at the bottom of each set of stairs, which we can grab on our way out.

I have 2 small dry erase pads on the fridge that are 1/2'ed into Closest Groc Store, Club Store, Discount Store, and Other (like Hardware/home improvement Store). Then the day before shopping day-I use a small yellow "legal pad" to transfer the items in order of how they are located in the store-it's also good to have the paper list handy when I'm meal planning to add as needed.

I have a friend who keeps a pad of Sticky Notes with her at all times-if she drops the dog off at the groomer in the am, she puts a sticky note in the car-In the Center of the Odometer (I don't know how this would work with ALL Digital Displays) so as soon as she gets in the car she is reminded "PICK UP SOPHIE!!"

I like the mesh bin but my house is not that style. I am going to use a flat sized basket instead.

I love the idea of using visual cues as reminders for important tasks for the day.
