Screw-Punched Snowflake Hurricanes

Screw-Punched Hurricane How-To
1. For snowflake hurricanes, cut paper to fit around hurricane overlapping at least 1/4 inch.

2. Download and print template sized to fit on paper. (Choose between template for 11-by-17-inch paper and template for 8 1/2-by-11-inch paper.)

3. Place paper onto self-healing cutting mat face up.

4. Using removable adhesive, attach template to top of paper. Punch design using screw punch, cutting through both the template and the paper. Note: You will need to change hole-punch tips according to the template.

5. Carefully remove template and adhesive.

6. Attach to hurricane using double-sided tape.

The screw punch can be found at Michaels in the Martha Stewart section.

I believe the tool that they are indicating is a punch that pokes out a single [filtered word] at a time, it sort of looks like an ice pick, with a large bulbous plastic end, and then a circular [filtered word] puncher at the other, and I do believe it has a spring mechanism in it. I saw them just this evening at Walmart....under 10 dollars I believe...I didn't buy it, because I was buying other craft items for myself and as gifts. Though the one thing I really wanted....the circle cutter, was sold out...boo hoo

I have looked for hours to find the santa cookie cutters and now looking for the craft screw punch and find that even though there is a link to ms crafts it is not on it. I don't have the time for these fruitless searches. Either carry the item or tell where it can be purchased.

Google Japanese [filtered word] punch. It is a bookbinding tool with interchangeable tips in a variety of sizes. Cost ranges from $24 to $35.

Oops! Just re-read the instructions and see that the paper fits around a hurricane.

I love this idea. I was actually trying to find something for my mantle and I think this would be great but I cannot find the screw punch tool on her website. Does anyone know where it can be found? Do you just light it with tea lights? Not sure about that with the paper.
