Punched Snowflake and Tree Gift Wrap and Tags

Created By: Marcus Nilsson

Paper punches are known for cutting pretty dots. But the craft tools come in many forms, offering an effortless way to create snowflakes, stars, icicles, and more with a quick press. The shapes can be cut in multiples and used atop gifts in innovative ways.

  • Pearl-finished paper
  • Large-eyed needle
  • Mohair yarn
  • Craft punches

  1. Step 1

Snowflakes big and small are punched from pearl-finished paper. Some are glued onto tags and cards; others are threaded -- along with sequins and Stars of David -- with a large-eyed needle onto mohair yarn.

  2. Step 2

Nothing is wasted: Flurries produced by the snowflake edge punch are used as decorative accents. Tiny popup villages and trees, also made with craft punches, add a new dimension to presents and cards.
