Lilies with Alchemilla Bouquet
Source: Martha Stewart Living, June 2007
We placed the golden flowers in twin trumpet vases, which can stand together or on opposite ends of a sideboard. Include a few unopened lilies to extend the life of the display.
Standing over a sink, gently pinch each stamen tip with your fingers. Wipe the pollen onto a tissue as you go.
Fill a serving bowl with water. Attach a grid of tape -- either the floral or adhesive kind will work -- across the top of the bowl.
Place alchemilla around the perimeter, and then cut short the stems on a dozen or so lilies and use them to fill in the center of the vessel.
