Cut an 11-by-7 1/2-inch piece of fabric with pinking shears. Fold in half, right sides facing; machine-sew one short and each long side with a 1/2-inch seam allowance; turn inside out. Fill bag with treats, and tie with a strip of contrasting fabric.

This is a great idea for gift wrapping. Just use more fabric and they can be used over and over and easy to store! I love it.
I think I will fill with goodies to take to a sick friend. They would enjoy the treasure inside, use it to put their own treasures in when its empty. There won't be any awkward basket for family to drag out to the car! Great possibilities!!

I did something like this at my wedding - the bags held the flower petals for guests to throw. One trick I used to save time - cut a long rectangle shape, twice as long as you want the bags to be, (instead of two squares), and just sew up the sides, using the middle of the scrap for the "bottom" of the bag. It saves you some cutting and sewing, and prevents mis-matched squares
