Tools and Materials
Drill with 1/8-inch drill bit

18- to 36-inch lengths of 3/4-by-1/4-inch wooden lattice strips

50- and 100-bulb strands of green wire mini lights (use 50-bulb strands for short icicles, 100-bulb strands for long ones)

Black all-weather electrical tape

Monofilament

Icicles How-To
1. Drill 1/8-inch hole at top of wooden lattice strip.

2. Tightly wrap lights around strip, starting a few inches from prong end and being careful not to let bulbs touch. Tape to secure at top and bottom of strip.

3. Loop monofilament through hole to hang.

...I am new to this....but what I don't get is how to connect all the latices to one cord and run to an electrical outlet????? that's always the hardest part to any lighting decorations

I think this is a great idea, but I am a little confused on what a lattice strip is especially in these dimensions. I went ot a few stores and was able to find lattice but if I cup it to the 3/4 by 1/4 dimension I am left with a straight piece of wood. Can you please let me know what a Lattice steip looks like and where I can purchase one.
