Fresh Herbal Tea with Siri

Martha Stewart Living Television

Herbalist Siri Beringer insists that the best-tasting teas are always brewed from the freshest herbs. Rather than using dried herbs, Siri uses a ratio of 2 tablespoons fresh herbs to 2 cups boiling water. A single herb, such as basil, makes a great tea, or you can experiment with combinations that might include sage, rosemary, and lavender.

I just saw this show (love your gardens), but didn't see when you added the lavender. I'm growing lavender this year, but never knew it could be in a tea. Can you please tell me what part of the lavender you included in this tea, green or purple part? Thanks for your help.
