A bookplate indicates a volume's rightful owner -- and helps to ensure its safe return from borrowers. It also adds a personal touch to a treasured book, and requires little time to make. We have created bookplates that you can use to customize your library. Simply download these designs. Each is marked Ex Libris, meaning "from the library of."
Bookplate How-To
The copyright-free designs are inspired by the sleek, uncluttered bookplates of the 1930s. Use 67-pound paper stock in a white, cream, or neutral tone. Such colors are light enough so that the graphics will be clearly legible. Download our clip art, and print them on a color printer. Cut around the red dotted line.
In the appropriate space, handwrite your name. Allow ink to dry. Use an acid-free glue stick (or acid-free double-sided tape) on the back of the bookplate; then carefully smooth it onto the right side of the book's endpaper. Or box a stack of blank bookplates and gift-wrap them for a friend.

Why did your team not utilize all the space on the page of designs?
I have an additional idea ... that is cut and an additional part where you have read the book and can leave your thoughts about the book
Hello, I am receiving a blank page when downloading and I have updated Adobe - can someone email these to me?
'thegoodfaery' - do you have Adobe on your PC?
I just found an empty page when I tried to open these designs. I'd love it if someone would email them to me. Thank you so much! :)
erichsen, if you want me to email them, I will.
Erichsen, try right-clicking on the template link and then "save target as" and save the file to your hard drive first. That sometimes helps instead of doing a regular click.
oh, I LOVE book plates! They are one of my favorite things! They remind me of the smell of old books in a library. Thanks for this practical "craft".
No problem here
I AM NOT ABLE TO SEE THE TEMPLATES. MY INTERNET SERVICE SHUTS DOWN WHEN I CLICK ON TEMPLATES. LGRAY
